About us
Kathy & Patrick Terry opened their first P. Terry’s on July 5th, 2005, at the corner of South Lamar and Barton Springs in Austin, Texas. Patrick, fulfilling his childhood dream, wanted to create a classic burger stand reminiscent of the famous Mack Eplen’s he grew up loving in Abilene, Texas. However, their mission gained a new dimension when Kathy read “Fast Food Nation,” inspiring them to focus even more on providing quality food and better service.
Fresh Quality
Ingredients!
Our all natural burgers are made to order. No hormones or antibiotics, just pure goodness served at the lowest price in the fast food biz! We don’t believe in cutting corners, only in hand-cutting our fries every day, so you can enjoy them fresh.
We only use Idaho Burbank potatoes, which are the best tasting and only cooked in 100% canola oil. Our OJ and lemonade are freshly squeezed, and our milkshakes are handspun. We make our baked goods from scratch in our kitchen every day and our veggie burgers are made from our own recipe in-house!
A Classic Burger Stand!
We were inspired by the classic burger stands of the ‘50s and ‘60s when small-town, genuine hospitality was the norm. Our buildings also draw inspiration from the ‘50s googie architecture movement, we think it’s warm, inviting and timeless. Our menu is simple and affordable, giving everyone access to high-quality, all-natural ingredients they can feel better about eating. We believe in treating our guests and employees with dignity and respect. Our employees are our greatest asset, they are like family and we care about their well-being. We provide them with opportunities to advance in our company, access to unique benefits and pay above industry standards. We also give back to the communities that we serve with our Giving Back Days.
