We’re turning 20 – and we’re celebrating with the community that made it all possible.
On Saturday, July 5th, P. Terry’s Burger Stand marked 20 years of serving Texans with a one-day-only birthday promotion at all locations, along with a special in-person celebration at our original Barton Springs stand – where it all began back in 2005.
To say thank you to our loyal guests, we offered a $7.05 “Birthday Combo,” featuring a Double Cheeseburger, Fries, and a Birthday Shake, available for one day only across Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. From early morning to late in the day, guests showed up in a big way to celebrate alongside us.
Back at our original location on South Lamar, the celebration continued with a special event featuring free T-shirts (while supplies lasted), an original P. Terry’s sign giveaway, and the chance to meet co-founder and CEO Patrick Terry. It was a full-circle moment – celebrating two decades of growth right where it all started.
“When we opened 20 years ago, we had no idea what P. Terry’s would grow into – we’re humbled and grateful for every guest who’s joined us along the way,” said Patrick Terry. “This celebration is about our community. Whether you’ve been with us since 2005 or just had your first burger last week, we’re thankful for you.”
Since opening our first stand on South Lamar, we’ve grown to 36 locations across Texas, all while staying true to what matters most: serving high-quality food at an affordable price and giving back to the communities we serve. Over the years, we’ve been proud to raise more than $2 million for local nonprofits and schools through our Giving Back Day and Spirit Night programs.
As we look ahead, we’re incredibly grateful for the past 20 years – and even more excited for what’s to come.
