March 16, 2026, Austin, TX — P. Terry’s Burger Stand, headquartered in Austin, Texas, announced today that the company will be onsite at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) on Tuesday, March 17, donating meals to TSA staff, many of whom have continued reporting to work without receiving pay during the partial government shutdown.
After P. Terry’s co-founder Kathy Terry saw news coverage of the shutdown’s impact on TSA staff during a busy travel season, with both Spring Break and South by Southwest (SXSW) underway, she felt the company should show its appreciation for those working to help keep travelers safe. As a result, P. Terry’s will send its catering truck to ABIA, donating roughly 400 meals to TSA members from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. “TSA agents work long hours to keep travelers safe, especially during one of Austin’s busiest travel seasons,” said Monty Montgomery, Senior Vice President of P. Terry’s Burger Stand. “Providing a meal is a small way for us to say thank you for the important work they do every day.”
